Nelson is a senior studying business with an emphasis in economics. He is from Chicago, Ill., and has a passion for the financial markets. He hopes to gain international business experience through this internship. After graduation, he hopes to work in the financial industry.

 

Andrew Bartell

Andrew is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration in finance with a risk management certification, as well as a minor in Spanish. Upon graduation, he hopes to start a career in financial planning and analysis within the healthcare industry, while pursuing a master’s degree in healthcare administration.  

Khaliyah Frazier

Khaliyah is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration degree with an emphasis in management and a minor in entrepreneurship. Prior to this internship, she studied abroad in South America. Over the winter intersession, she will serve as a student manager for the study-abroad program. During this internship, she hopes to learn research and relationship-management skills that will aid her in succeeding as a business owner at the international level.

Peyton is a senior studying international business with an emphasis in marketing and Italian culture. She studied abroad in Perugia, Italy, and she plans to do more traveling in the future. Through this internship experience with the MU International Trade Center, she looks forward to becoming more knowledgeable about international trade, gaining marketing research experience and making valuable connections along the way.

Emilee is majoring in business management, with a double minor in entrepreneurship and psychology. Her studies include a focus on traditional management and advertising techniques, along with a broad variety of product design projects centered on innovation and improving the consumer experience. Upon graduation, Emilee hopes to channel her creative and analytical talents by pursuing a career in consulting, event planning or as part of the marketing team for a sports franchise.

Michaela Marshall

Michaela is a senior international business student, with an emphasis in marketing and Spanish. She will graduate in December 2017 and hopes to find a job in the marketing field. Aside from school, she enjoys watching and playing sports, playing with her puppy and exploring new places.

Hunter Elgren

Hunter is a senior at Mizzou from Minneapolis pursuing a bachelor's degree  in business with a marketing emphasis. He is involved with the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity as well as the International Business Association at the University of Missouri. After securing his degree, he hopes to pursue a career in advertising.

Madison is a junior pursuing a degree in business administration with emphases in economics and marketing. She also works as a marketing intern for Trulaske College of Business Study Abroad Program and as the treasurer of Mizzou Model United Nations. Madison has interests in international trade, international development, microfinance and human rights, and she hopes to further her research and analytic skills while interning with the MU International Trade Center.

Kyle Pratt

Kyle is a senior at the Trulaske Collage of Business where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in management. He is originally from Saint Charles, Mo.; but has lived in Pennsylvania, New York and Jakarta, Indonesia. Kyle’s interest in international business grew while interning for a consulting firm in St. Louis, working on global sourcing and project management. Following his graduation, he plans to take the GMAT, earn an MBA and pursue a career in the private equity sector.

Angeles Zhang is a senior studying finance. She is a math tutor at the Mizzou Learning Center. She loves math, data and programing, and she hopes to find a position that could utilize her quantitative and analytic skills.

Rachel decided to follow in her parent's footsteps and attend the University of Missouri. She is a senior studying finance, and she is working toward a risk management and insurance certificate. Post-graduation she hopes to have a career in health risk management. She is also a member of Pi Sigma Epsilon business fraternity and Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. 

Jamie Hennessey

Jamie is a senior pursuing her undergraduate degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing. Last summer, she studied abroad with the Trulaske College of Business in Prague. There, she found a passion for travel along with an interest to learn more about the global economy. Her previous work experience includes interning at Target Corp. as an executive intern.

Shawn Higginbotham

Shawn is a senior in his final semester at Mizzou. He will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in finance and a minor in economics. Shawn has interned in research analyst roles previously. This position with the MU International Trade Center will be his third internship.

Pinki Thakker

Pinki is a Crosby MBA candidate at the University of Missouri and an intern with the U.S. Commercial Service, St. Louis. She spent the summer interning at the State Department in Washington, D.C. Pinki is a graduate of the University of Missouri, where she studied international studies, anthropology and French. After completing her undergraduate studies, she moved to Mumbai where she worked in the nonprofit sector for two years. Her writing has been published in the magazine India Abroad.

Ipsita Shevde

Ipsita Shevde is a Crosby MBA candidate at the University of Missouri. She is an electronics engineering graduate from Mumbai, India. In her undergraduate college, she was the recruitment coordinator for her department. After graduating, Ipsita worked as an Analyst at a research firm in Mumbai for two years. She has experience handling consumer research, market research and compliance research assignments.
