Admissions Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution
  • 3.0 or better GPA in the last 60 hours of baccalaureate coursework (for applicants with less than a master’s degree)
  • Applicants for Fall 2025 and beyond: 3.2 or better GPA in the last 60 hours of baccalaureate coursework (for applicants with less than a master’s degree)
  • Personal Statement and Video Statement
  • 1 Letter of Recommendation
  • Professional work or internship experience is not required but encouraged
  • GMAT/GRE score is not required
    • Applicants are welcome to submit a GMAT/GRE score you feel that it is an accurate representation of your abilities
  • Proof of English proficiency for international students
  • Interview required for competitive applicants

The Accelerated Crosby MBA provides Mizzou undergraduate students with the opportunity to begin MBA coursework during their senior year.  There are several key admissions requirements (GPA requirement is firm):

  • Have completed 90 credits hours of undergraduate work (this may include current hours of enrollment at the time of application)
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher in your major
  • Be making satisfactory academic progress in your undergraduate degree
  • Internship experience is encouraged but not required
  • GMAT/GRE score is not required
    • Applicants are welcome to submit a GMAT/GRE score you feel that it is an accurate representation of your abilities
  • Personal Statement and Video Statement
  • Graduation Plan that has been updated with your academic advisor in the last 30 days
  • 1 Letter of Recommendation
  • Interview required for competitive applicants

Prerequisite Coursework

The undergraduate prerequisite courses are:

  • Accounting I and II
  • Intermediate Financial Accounting I and II
  • Accounting Information Systems
  • Cost and Managerial Accounting
  • Introduction to Taxation

Prerequisite courses may be taken at an accredited institution outside of the University of Missouri. Prerequisite courses are based on US GAAP knowledge. If you have completed coursework with IFRS accounting principles, you will need to take all prerequisite courses at an accredited institution that covers US GAAP principles. Marketing Analytics

  • Prerequisite knowledge in Statistics and Marketing
    • College level statistics course with grade of B or better (within the last three years)
      • Alternative evidence of statistical proficiency can be demonstrated through completion of a Coursera course. Contact our admissions team for more information.
    • Marketing coursework (within the last three years) or work experience
      • Alternative evidence of marketing experience can be demonstrated through a 5-week online course in basic marketing. Contact our admissions team for more information.

Taxation

If you are currently admitted to the Graduate School as a Non-Degree Graduate Student or are already admitted to a graduate degree program, please contact the Graduate Programs Office for additional information on how to apply to the Marketing Analytics Certificate. You do NOT need to complete the Graduate Application. The admission requirements described above also apply to current MU graduate students.

Admission to Trulaske Graduate Programs is competitive. Completed applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received. Candidates are encouraged to apply early, as seats often fill quickly.

Steps to Apply

1. Complete the University of Missouri Graduate School Application

Click here to access the Graduate School Application. An application fee of $75 for domestic and $100 for international applicants applies; the application fee is non-refundable and is not applicable to any future fees. Please visit the University of Missouri Graduate School website to see if you qualify for an application fee waiver.

2. Upload Your Transcripts

Upload an unofficial copy of ALL transcripts to your online application prior to submitting the application. If you have attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, you may obtain an unofficial copy of your academic record from myZou. Official transcripts will be required if you are admitted into a graduate program.

3. Upload Your Resume

Please upload a current professional resume which includes information about your work experience, leadership experience, and honors/awards.

4. Submit Personal and Video Statements

Personal statement: Explain why you are a strong candidate for admission in 750 words or less. Include topics like:

  • Academic goals
  • Professional goals
  • Leadership experience
  • Quantitative and technical skills (quantitative coursework, professional experience, excel proficiency, AI, etc.) 

Optional Statement: Use this essay to provide any additional information you wish to share with the admissions committee. This is your opportunity to explain important details not covered elsewhere, including low undergraduate GPA, unexplained resume gaps, or other relevant context. 

Video Statement: Introduce yourself to the Admissions Committee. Be conversational and authentic as you tell us about yourself, your goals, your passions, and any other information that may not be included in your application materials. Video statement will be recorded within the application system - detailed instructions found within the application.

5. Provide Recommendation

All programs require at least one letter of recommendation. Letter should be from someone who knows you well in a professional or academic setting. This person should be familiar with your work ethic, leadership skills, and ability to overcome challenges. 

You will provide the name and email address for your recommender in the application, then the system will send them an email with a link to complete their recommendation.

6. Submit Proof of English Proficiency

All non-native English speaking applicants are required to provide proof of English language ability through TOEFL or IELTS scores. Please visit the International Applicants page for additional information.
