Curriculum

A Curriculum Individualized for You

We’ll work with you from the outset to evaluate and identify your career interests and goals. Then we’ll build a customized curriculum and professional development program to prepare you for a rewarding career path. Students typically spend their first year in the MBA program taking required courses to build a strong foundation in core business functions and analytics. You will develop a professional, personalized career plan through our Career and Professional Development class while working with our Business Career Services team. In the second year, students will then take a wide variety of electives to match their interests. This is a 57-credit hour program with 22.5 credits of electives. Classes are held in-person, on campus and mostly during the day. You may choose from multiple concentrations and certificates, or you might choose to participate in a dual degree program.

  • Team-based experiences apply your knowledge to “real world” business.
  • Learn and practice strategy in the classroom through consulting projects with businesses and in case competitions.
  • Our Career and Professional Development class assists students to gain internships and full-time MBA level positions by developing a professional network closely linked to an industry or discipline. Students will gain an in-depth knowledge of an industry by meeting key business leaders, studying business trends, gaining knowledge of professional organizations, regulations, associations and certificates and exploring opportunities and career paths available.
  • The program is typically done full-time but can be done part-time if a student has the flexibility to attend classes during the day on the MU campus.
