Crosby MBA Consulting Projects

Participation in a consulting project benefits our business partners as well as our students. Consulting projects are a key component of the Crosby MBA Program. All students participate in two MBA consulting projects that provide real-world, problem-solving field experiences.

Students are assigned to teams that analyze specific situations associated with real client organizations. Consulting teams can assist with a multitude of business issues including creating a business plan, developing a marketing plan, and solving budget or financial issues. The teams act as consultants and meet with the clients, draft proposals, schedule follow-up meetings, and present to the client findings in both a written report and a final presentation.

Some recent projects included:

  • A telecommunication system that monitors calling patterns of departments within the University Hospital system.
  • The strengths and weaknesses of care after departure from University Hospital. Miller’s Professional Imaging’s statistical procedures to monitor its process quality.
  • The demographics and housing competition of the East Campus area of Columbia for Junk Architects, a firm that is considering a housing project in that location.
