The Recent Alumni Advisory Board was founded in 2000 to give alumni from the last decade an opportunity to stay connected to and support the College of Business. The RAAB advises the college regarding its academic activities, supports all programs and events, assists students in managing the school-to-work transition, and increases communication with, and involvement of, recent college alumni. In addition, the RAAB acts as the college’s alumni organization. With assistance from the Mizzou Alumni Association, the RAAB provides various educational, developmental, and social services and activities to its constituency of business alumni and the University. The RAAB is coordinated by the Career Services and Advancement Offices and is comprised of 30 board members and 30 associate members is this right? representing all business disciplines.
Highlights of the RAAB Successes
- Facilitated an alumni resume review program which has served more than 100 students
- Created a Job Search workshop series that served more than 170 students
- Participated in the creation of the job search class, Management 335, currently serving approximately 70 students
- Created a Professional Development workshop series that served 65 students
- Involved more than 70 alumni through speaking at workshops, volunteering as mentors, and providing counsel to the college
- Facilitated the renewal of the St. Louis and Kansas City Business School Alumni Chapters
- Achieved honors status with the Mizzou Alumni Association, which provided an additional $2,451 for the college's alumni activities and funded a $700 student scholarship
