History

Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest professional business fraternity. It was founded at New York University at a meeting held on October 5, 1904. There were ten "founders" who signed the incorporation charter. Their charter was officially issued by the state of New York on May 20, 1905. Today there are over 260 chapters and over 80 alumni chapters throughout the United States, making Alpha Kappa Psi one of the largest professional fraternities. The Upsilon Chapter at the University of Missouri-Columbia was installed on May 5, 1920. Today there are over one-hundred eighty active members, which makes us the largest chapter in the world. It's our commitment & dedication that allows us to be one of the premiere chapters in the country.
