Welcome
The Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business, University of Missouri, welcomes all Consortium participants!
About this Event
The
American Marketing Association (AMA) Sheth Foundation Doctoral
Consortium is primarily a professional development and networking
conference for advanced doctoral students in marketing. Participation
in the Doctoral Consortium is by invitation only, and each of the
invited business schools is asked to nominate one doctoral student (known as the "Consortium Fellow").
The 2008
Doctoral Consortium will bring together more than one hundred
doctoral students from leading
business schools in the U.S., Canada, and several international
locations with over one hundred distinguished faculty who are
thought leaders in the academic discipline of marketing. This
year's program offers presentations and workshops at the forefront
of marketing scholarship as well as numerous opportunities for
Consortium faculty and fellows to interact and share information with
colleagues from around the world. This collaborative effort between
experienced and new scholars will provide crucial insight that will
contribute to bridging diverse research and teaching perspectives.
The History
The
first annual AMA Doctoral Consortium was held in 1966. The addition of
'Sheth' to the Consortium name recognizes the generosity of Professor
Jagdish Sheth and his commitment to finance part of the Consortium on
an ongoing basis through the Madhuri and Jagdish N. Sheth Foundation.
The Site
Cornell Hall, home of the Trulaske College of Business, is the site of the 2008 Doctoral Consortium
