Katie Essing, Broker-Salesperson, SCSM, SCMD, is Senior General Manager for Columbia and Capital Malls, owned and managed by General Growth Properties. Previously, Katie was Group Vice President of Marketing for General Growth, overseeing properties in Minnesota, Missouri, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, and Illinois. Katie has also held the role of Marketing Director at Columbia Mall. Before joing General Growth, Katie was a buyer for Famous Barr Department Stores, a division of May Company. She received her degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia College of Business in 1996. Katie is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Broadway Christian Church and Metro Rotary. In addition to the Marketing Advisory Board, Katie also serves on the Chamber of Commerce and the Theater Reaching Young People's boards of advisors. She enjoys spending time with her boys: husband, Blake, and sons, Alexander and Andrew.
