Lance Beshore is vice president of governmental affairs for Leggett & Platt, Inc., a Fortune 500 Company that has its headquarters in Carthage, Missouri. The government affairs function originated 24 years ago under Lance’s guidance. Today, Lance coordinates international, federal, state, and public policy issues, as well as political activities for Leggett & Platt. He is Missouri’s National Committeeman to the Republican National Committee and has been engaged in Missouri politics for about 25 years.
Lance is also very active in civic and community affairs. Among other activities, he currently serves on the Missouri State Chamber of Commerce board of directors. For 12 years, he has chaired the board of directors of the Freeman Health System, which was recently named one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the United States.
Lance is actively involved with the College of Business as a member of the Crosby MBA Program advisory board. In addition, several years ago, he assisted the college in obtaining state funding for Cornell Hall. As members of the Davenport Society, Lance and his wife Sharon have been generous financial supporters of the College of Business.
