Brett Kawada is a doctoral student in the School of Accountancy. His research interests include auditing and financial reporting. Prior to returning to school, he worked for 8 years in the audit department of the Honolulu office of KPMG LLP. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Hawaii, and a member of the American Accounting Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received his Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Business Adminisitration in Accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Outside of work, he enjoys international travel, sports, food, and outdoor activities.
