Scott Seavey, CPA, MPA, is a doctoral student in the School of Accountancy. His research interests are primarily in the areas of audit quality, financial reporting, and the implications of accounting on management actions and public policy. Prior to joining the program, he was the proprietor of an accounting and financial consulting firm in Wisconsin. He also worked as an auditor and tax associate for a national public accounting firm and is a Certified Public Accountant registered in the state of Wisconsin. He earned his Masters in Professional Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and holds a Bachelors of Science in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, is an avid conservationist, loves to cook, and takes pleasure in great wine and silent films.
