James Whitworth, CPA, is a doctoral student at the University of Missouri in the School of Accountancy. His research interests include auditing, corporate governance, and financial accounting. Before joining the doctoral program, James received a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Kansas. He is a Certified Public Accountant registered in the state of Kansas. His work experience includes five years working as a corporate accountant and one year of public accounting tax work. Outside of work he enjoys basketball, movies, and spending time with his wife and their dog.
