Professor Milbach holds an active CPA certificate in the State of Missouri. Lauren worked as an auditor for KPMG LLP in Dallas, Texas, her hometown, for one year after graduating from Mizzou. She moved back to Columbia to pursue a career in private industry, and she now works for SEMCO Incorporated as the Financial Reporting Manager. She teaches Introduction to Accountancy for non-Business majors in the evenings, part-time. As a graduate student, she taught Accountancy 2258 (Computer-Based Data Systems). She is a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs (MSCPA), for which she serves as the Secretary of the Central Chapter. Professor Milbach is married and has one "child," a two-year old English Bulldog. Outside of teaching, she also enjoys road cycling, yoga, travelling, and cooking.
