B.S. & M.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University, Ph.D. (1996) in Accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Professor Kleen passed the CPA exam in Illinois and worked 2.5 years as a public accountant. She has taught accounting courses at Illinois State University, East Carolina University, Quincy University, as well as the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Professor Kleen's teaching experience covers various accounting courses (including principles of financial and managerial, cost, auditing, advanced, intermediate, and governmental accounting) at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She was granted tenure at Quincy University. While at QU, she was awarded an Excellence in Teaching Award, an honor given to one faculty member campus-wide each year and also awarded a faculty service award for her commitment to students with disabilities.
Professor Kleen primarily teaches intermediate financial accounting topics at the University of Missour-Columbia. In May, 2009, she was awarded the Williams-Keepers Teaching Excellence Award for teaching faculty.
Professor Kleen enjoys spending her free time with family.
