School of Accountancy Achieves High Rankings

Each year the Public Accounting Report (PAR) surveys accounting educators and asks them to rank accounting programs in three categories: undergraduate, masters, and doctoral. The University of Missouri is consistently ranked in all three categories. This year our programs ranked, respectively, 20th, 25th, and 25th overall and 17th, 20th, and 17th among public institutions.

Another important development is the recent national research productivity ranking of 9th reported in the Chronicle of Higher Education. The ranking is based on a comprehensive analysis of disciplines in over 300 universities by an independent consulting firm. For accounting, the rankings were based on actual publications and citations during the period 2003-2006.
