We are
excited about your arrival and look forward to helping you begin the Crosby MBA
Program. Our week-long required orientation is designed to prepare you for the upcoming
semester and make you immediately comfortable with your new surroundings. You’ll
interact with MBA Program staff and faculty, as well as become acquainted with
the academic structure of the program through faculty-led modules that will set
the tone for the high-quality learning opportunities in the program. You can
also look forward to breakfast and lunch daily, career planning, team building
events and social activities with current students, the Crosby MBA Ambassador Team and the MBA Association.
Orientation Preparation & Checklist for Admitted Students

Schedule an advising appointment.

RSVP for Orientation
- please make sure to answer all the questions on this RSVP form, as we will include your biography information in a handout for all newly admitted students at orientation.
Prior to Orientation:

Register for courses on MyZou beginning December 1st.
- Set up your University of Missouri (MU) email and begin checking regularly, as this is where we will communicate with you: http://webmail.mizzou.edu.

BCS Bootcamp
Preparation: The MBA Business Career Services (BCS) Bootcamp will kick-start your career planning and preparation at orientation. Visit the link provided for more information about required pre-work and assessments including StrengthsQuest and CareerLeader. You will receive an additional email with specific information necessary to complete this pre-work. Please plan to bring your laptop computer to orientation, if you have one, for participation in BCS Bootcamp sessions.

Excel Assessment
: Log in using your MU pawprint and password to complete this assessment; if you pass, you likely do not need to attend our first Excel module during orientation week, Excel for Starters. If this link does not work for you, please email colliercm@missouri.edu.

MBA math.com
: this self-paced, online course used by over 150 MBA programs covers basic quantitative skills in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, and spreadsheets. Although not required, all students are encouraged ot purchase this program for a $149 annual fee, which will allow you access to the materials before classes start and to return to the material as needed during the academic year. Students without a business background are particularly encouraged to complete all the lessons.
- If you have been awarded a Graduate Assistant (GA) Position, you will receive your GA assignment and complete required employment documents during lunch on Thursday, January 12th. You MUST bring the following on this day:
- Social Security card. The original is required, a copy is not sufficient. If you need an original card, you must apply for one through the Social Security Administration.
- Driver's license or passport.
- Voided check or letter from your bank with bank account and routing number (for direct deposit of pay).
- International students must also bring documents authorizing employment in the United States.

Orientation Schedule: The schedule for the Spring 2012 Orientation is available. Please note that changes may be made, so check back often for the most recent updates to the schedule. Please arrive by 8 a.m. on Monday, January 9th in professional business attire! Refer to the final schedule given to you on that day, which will contain the most up-to-date information for the week.
