David Haffner - President and CEO, Leggett & Platt

David Haffner is President and Chief Executive Officer of Leggett & Platt.  He joined the company in 1983 as Group Vice President Operations, after working nine years for a privately held, multinational food-processing firm in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  David earned his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Missouri in 1974, and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin (Oshkosh) in 1980, graduating with honors in both.  In addition to his responsibilities at Leggett, David has served on the Finance Advisory Board of the University of Missouri, the Business Advisory Board of Missouri Southern State University, the University of Missouri Dean of Engineering Advisory Board, and Missouri Southern State University Athletic Department Advisory Board.  In addition to his Leggett & Platt board membership, David serves on the Board of Directors of Bemis Company, a publicly traded S&P 500 firm.  He also has served as a member of the YMCA Board of Directors in Carthage, Missouri.
