PhD Application Instructions
Important News!
The Graduate School is phasing in a new on-line application system. If you are applying for admission to the university for the Fall Semester 2007, which begins in August 2007, please follow the instructions below when submitting your application materials. Applicants may complete either the hard copy Application for Graduate Admission or complete the MU On-line Graduate Application for Admission.
(Note: Applicants completing the new on-line Graduate Application for Admission will be able to continually monitor the status of their application from the web-based system. The on-line application provides the most convenient and efficient way to apply for graduate study at MU, and is the preferred method of applying.)
The following items must be submitted directly to the Graduate Admission Office: (Note: To be considered complete, all applications for admission must include the proper application fee, $45.00 for domestic applicants and $60.00 for non-resident alien (international) applicants.)

If you complete the paper version of the Application for Graduate Admission, please forward the following materials directly to the Graduate Admission Office:
- The Graduate Application for Admission with application fee
- Your official transcripts from every college or university you have attended (sent directly from the college or university)
- Your official TOEFL scores (sent directly from the Educational Testing
Service) *international applicants only

Departmental application form (the form can be downloaded from this website)
- Three letters of reference (the form can be downloaded from this website)
- Statement of purpose
- Resume
- Your official GMAT scores (sent directly from the Educational Testing Service)
