Do I need to apply for graduation?
An application for graduation is due the semester before graduation.
May or August graduates who have not completed an application for
graduation should complete an application for graduation available in
the Undergraduate Programs Office, 111 Cornell Hall.

Am I graduating?
Degree requirements will be reviewed after early registration the
semester prior to graduation for students who have completed an
application for graduation. You will be notified via email if you need
to enroll for additional courses.

When and where is the May 2006 undergraduate ceremony?
May 2006 Saturday, May 13 12:30 p.m. The Hearnes Center

Can I attend the May ceremony if I am an August graduate?
There is not a graduation ceremony in August. All August graduates are invited to attend the ceremony in May.

Which ceremony should I attend if I am an accountancy major?
You may attend either ceremony or both ceremonies. It is your choice.

How are Latin honors figured?
Graduation with Latin honors is determined by the GPA from the last
50 hours in the UM System or the overall UM System GPA, whichever is
highest. To be eligible, students MUST COMPLETE THEIR LAST 50 HOURS IN THE UM SYSTEM.

What are the GPA requirements for Latin honors?
GPA requirements for honors are 3.5 for cum laude, 3.7 for magna cum laude, and 3.9 for summa cum laude.

What should I wear?
All candidates are to wear traditional academic mortarboards and gowns.

Where can I purchase my cap, tassel and gown?
Your cap, tassel (color drab) and gown can be purchased from the University Bookstore at Brady Commons.

How many guests may I bring?
You may invite as many guests as you wish.
