What is the difference between dropping a class and withdrawing from a class ?
Dropping a course can be done by using STARMU, telephone, or going to 130 Jesse Hall before the sixth week of the semester and there will be no notation of enrollment for that course on their transcript. Withdrawing from a course can occur no later than two-thirds of the way into the semester and a notation of W or F will appear on your transcript. Withdrawing from a course requires signature of instructor stating grade of student (W or F), advisor's and dean's signature on an add/drop form. If the grade is F, it is counted as an F in the term grade point average. The add/drop form is taken to 130 Jesse Hall.

What kinds of grades do I have to get to stay in the C of B?
You need to maintain the University minimum of a 2.0 GPA before academic actions will take place. However, you must have earned at least a 2.6 GPA to apply for the upper level. To graduate, your UM Cumulative GPA, your College of Business Cumulative GPA and your overall Cumulative GPA must all be a 2.0.
