Interview Do's & Don'ts

  • DO
  • Keep a positive attitude! Interview season is tiring and time-consuming, but it is an excellent way to gain exposure to many possible employment opportunities

  • Review company literature and the company web site, if available, before interviewing

  • Write a thank-you letter after your interview
  • DON'T
  • Go to the interview without preparation

  • Ramble on (keep your answers brief and to the point)

  • Ask about salary, benefits, or vacation (wait until you get an offer before you address these issues!

  • Be a "No-show". Remember: An unexcused no-show is not allowed to interview further
