Core Requirements
Developmental Activities
Students are required to attend workshops, lectures and events as a graduation requirement. These events range in content and provide the opportunity for professional growth in at least one of the managerial competencies.
Course
Students are enrolled once they are officially admitted to the college. Prepares students for internship experience by:
- Introducing them to the professional competencies.
- Guiding students through the process of creating an individual development plan.
- Covering the many facets of the job search process.
- Discussing the transition from student to professional.
Internship
In-depth service learning or corporate internship, either over a semester or summer time period.
- Internships must be a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks long and can last up to 16 consecutive weeks. Students must work a minimum of 120 hours.
- Internships can be paid or unpaid opportunities.
- Internships must be comprised of at least one in-depth project for student development.
