Application, Admission and Life at Mizzou
Admission to the Ph.D. program in Marketing is selective. Admitted candidates typically have a GMAT of 650 (or its GRE equivalent), with a GPA of 3.3 or higher in junior, senior, and graduate course work. A GMAT of 600 (or its GRE equivalent) is required for consideration. An MBA or research-focused graduate degree is strongly preferred, but not required; students without such a degree can expect to spend five years in the doctoral program. Strong applicants will have a demonstrated record of academic accomplishment, intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for discovery, and a general understanding of the demands of a doctoral program. Work experience in business, management, research, or similar endeavors is welcome but not required. It is strongly preferred that students whose native language is not English either have lived at least 4 years in an English-speaking country or have a baccalaureate or graduate degree from a university for which the instructional language is English.
Completed applications must be received no later than February 1 for consideration for admission in the fall semester of the same year. Promising candidates who apply early may be processed and offered admission prior to the February 1 date.
