Crosby MBA Internship Consulting Program
Steps to Develop an
Internship Program
- Peruse our website on Crosby MBA Internship Consulting. A plethora of data and resources have been collected for you, as you consider developing and/or offering an internship.
- Think about your company and your project’s objectives, desired outcomes, timeline, and staffing preferences:
- Do you need assistance in your marketing department with a creative advertising campaign or with a comprehensive research project?
- Does your management team need assistance in strategic planning or with completion of a special project that is on their “wish list”, but somehow keeps falling to the bottom of the priority list?
- How about your HR, Finance, and IT departments?
- Developing or enhancing internal processes, logistics and analytical projects are all areas of MBA student expertise.
- Write a draft project scope of work, or if comfortable, internship description (be as detailed as possible - see sample MBA Internship link below).
- With a description of your organization and your draft internship posting or scope of work, contact Shelly Davis
Crosby MBA Career Services works to connect employers with bright and well-prepared MBA students. In the face of budget cuts and talent downsizing, among many other challenges, your company is expected to sustain business. Looking long-term, which we understand is difficult to do, you must also consider how you will differentiate your business from others, 5, 10, 20 years from now. That often equates to building your talent pipeline today, and yes, dealing with those looming retirements by your current talent pool.
Why Internships?
Offering short-term internships (summers and/or throughout the year) can present many benefits to you and your organization. The following are just two:
- Equipped with core values such as teamwork, diligence, and pragmatism, Crosby MBAs can be a great asset to your organization during a summer internship (not to mention, cost-effective labor).
- Provides you the opportunity to establish a long-term relationship for future staffing- but with no initial obligation.
