Current Students

We want to ensure that you succeed when you make that transition from the classroom to the board room.  As a participant in the Professional Development Program, you will gain the skills and experiences necessary for success in the professional world.  These skills include the ability to lead and motivate others, adapt to change, learn continuously, manage your personal and professional development, and communicate your ideas effectively, both as a writer and a speaker.  This comprehensive program will ensure that you graduate with the ability to apply your knowledge in a practical business environment.
The Professional Development Program is divided into three main components.  You are required to complete all of the following in order to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration:
  • Participation in various developmental events and activities each semester, such as Mock Interview Day and guest lectures.  Students must earn a minimum of 70 PDP points at the Lower Level in order to be admitted to the Upper Level.  Once admitted, students will continue to accumulate PDP points to meet the graduation requirement.
  • Upon admittance to the Upper Level, students will complete a required, three-credit professional development class and
  • A required, three-credit practicum experience which can include an internship or service learning project in the community
