Kusum Ailawadi is the Charles Jordan 1911 TU’12 Professor of Marketing at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College. She studies the strategic interaction and distribution of power between manufacturers and retailers. Her recent research examines the impact of store brands, advertising, and promotion on the performance of manufacturers and retailers, and studies consumer, competitor, and retailer response to major marketing policy changes.
Kusum’s research has won several awards, including best paper awards from Journal of Retailing, Journal of Marketing, and Marketing Science and the MSI/Journal of Marketing Research Award for the best academic-practitioner collaborative research. She serves on the editorial boards of Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, Marketing Science, and Review of Marketing Science.
Kusum teaches MBA electives and executive programs in Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, and Channel Management and has twice been named one of Tuck’s outstanding faculty members in Business Week’s Guide to the Best Business Schools.
