Crosby MBA Curriculum Revised

In a major step forward, the Trulaske College of Business faculty approved a proposal to revise the MBA curriculum to improve the MBA program and to keep the curriculum current and responsive to our constituents.  The faculty reconsidered the program prerequisites and moved these requirements under the direct control of the college’s faculty, restructured the foundation curriculum with greater emphasis on problem solving techniques, provided more flexibility for electives, and approved the concept of delivering more courses in 1.5 credit modules.  This latter initiative should allow more breadth in the curriculum and it will enable the faculty to be more responsive to developing trends and advances in business practices.

The members of the Crosby MBA Advisory Board were particularly influential in identifying the skill sets they expect from young professionals and for recommending changes in the curriculum.  They focused on both the educational experiences they felt were essential for all graduates as well as those likely to enhance the opportunities for rapid career advancement.

As a result, all graduates of the program will be well prepared for their first positions by developing exceptional analytical skills enhanced by a well-formulated professional development program and a broad choice of electives.  When combined with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous issues and an ability to communicate well, our graduates should be well positioned for long term success.
