Professor Ratneshwar (BTech Indian Institute of Technology, 1971; MBA Indian Institute of Management, 1973; MA Vanderbilt University, 1986; PhD Vanderbilt University, 1987) is a member of the American Marketing Association, the Association for Consumer Research, the Society for Consumer Psychology, and the Academy of Marketing Science. His research interests include consumer goals and motivation; consumer memory, judgment and decision-making; time style and time consumption; brand positioning and advertising; relationship and interactive marketing; and marketing strategy. His articles have been published in Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, Marketing Letters, and several other journals. He serves on the editorial review boards of Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Journal of Interactive Marketing. Professor Ratneshwar has served as a consultant and executive trainer to several organizations, including GE Capital and HealthIS.
