Highly qualified Crosby MBA students are offered the opportunity to work as a College of Business graduate assistant (GA) in a variety of capacities.  These positions offer the students both a significant financial stipend of $2500-$3800 per semester, and invaluable work experience.    

GA opportunities include:

  • Teaching - Support the College’s teaching mission as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Graduate Instructor
o   Teach your own section of an undergraduate finance class – either personal finance, or corporate finance for non-business undergraduates
 
o   Serve as a TA for undergraduate management, marketing, or finance classes
 
o   Assist undergraduate business students with writing skills or in a new professional development program
 
o   Dual JD/MBA students TA for business law, conducting weekly classes 

  • Applied Business Experience – Support independent business agencies 
o   Counsel small business entrepreneurs
 
o   Develop business plans, budgets and marketing strategies
 
o   Assist with science-based business development
        
  • Academic Research - Support the faculty’s research mission as a research assistant (RA)
                 o   Learn through a faculty mentor
 
  • Professional Skills - Support the College’s administrative programs
 
o   Technology Services (computer science backgrounds are always in demand!)
 
o   Special programs such as real estate, entrepreneurship, and investment fund development
 
o   Career workshops and business-partner relationships
 
o   Communication and public relations
