Financial Aid

Lower-level undergraduate scholarships

Each year, the College of Business awards almost 250 undergraduate scholarships. You can obtain a list of available scholarships from the Undergraduate Advising Office or the MU Financial Aid Office. To be considered for any of the scholarships listed, you must complete an on-line “Continuing and Transfer Scholarship” application. The scholarship application deadline is February 1. In order to qualify for need-based awards, applicants must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the address indicated on that form, requesting your financial data be released to MU. The FAFSA is available from the MU Financial Aid Office, or on-line. The form should be submitted as soon after January 1 as possible.

Scholarships for Students Upon Admittance to the 150-Hour Program

Subsequent of funding, each year the School of Accountancy awards scholarships on the basis of GPA to students who are admitted to the 150-Hour Program.

Being a Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant as a Graduate Student

Students who are interested can apply to be a teaching assistant or research assistant. Generally, students apply during the winter semester of their fourth year (by March) to be a TA or RA during their 5th year. TAs and RAs must be full-time graduate students (not dually enrolled). These positions are filled based on cumulative UM GPA. Students who are Ernst & Young Accounting Excellence Mentors will have first preference in becoming a TA or RA. If you are interested in obtaining a TA or RA position, notify the Director of the 150-Hour Program.
