Sample Interview Questions for the Interviewer

Nothing ends an interview faster than a job candidate who doesn’t ask questions.  Here are some guidelines of what you should and shouldn’t ask.

Appropriate

  • What sort of training programs are available?
  • Can you describe the organization’s culture?
  • What is this organization’s future business plan with regard to __?
  • What sort of professional development opportunities are available?

Inappropriate

  • How much does this position pay?
  • How much vacation can I expect if hired?
  • Can you name perks associated with the position?
  • I don’t really have any questions – are we all done then?
