Year 4

  • Plan to spend time on your job search.  Spend as much as you would on a class or part-time job.
  • Go to the Fall Career Fair.  Last time!  This event will give your final year a strong kick-off.  This is also where a majority of full time recruiting is done, so don’t wait until Spring to start looking if you’re a May grad.
  • High Season For Recruiting!  Utilize the Business Career Services Office throughout the semester.  On-campus interviewing is highest in October and November, and is the most cost-effective way to get a job.
  • Attend Leadership Conference – it’s never too late to network!
  • Use all Career Services resources.  We have information on hundreds of companies and provide assistance with cover letter and resume writing as well as career coaching.  USE US!  Also, use resources that you have developed over the last few years through personal contacts and informational interviews.
  • Fill out an Occupational Status Form.  Once you secure a full-time position or internship, stop by the Business Career Services Office or go to our web site to fill out the Occupational Status Form.  This information is kept confidential and is used for national rankings, accreditation, salary statistics, and so forth.
