More than 4,350 students are enrolled in the BS BA, MBA, 150-hour accountancy, and PhD degree programs, making the college the second largest academic division on the MU campus.

In 1926, the Trulaske College of Business was the first public business school in Missouri to earn
accreditation
from AACSB-International Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
In December 1974, the Board of Curators approved the establishment of a
School of Accountancy
at MU, effective July 1, 1975. MU's School of Accountancy was the first of its kind at a major university.

School of Accountancy’s
programs have the highest national ranking among all accounting programs in Missouri.
The Trulaske College of Business has the highest ranked public
MBA program
in the state.

Accountancy students in the College of Business consistently have the highest first-time pass rate on the CPA exam of all schools in the state.
The first course focused on the investment principles of Warren Buffett was offered at Mizzou beginning in 1997; it remains the only such course in Missouri.
The $13.5 million in donations in support of the college’s building,
Harry and Ann Cornell Hall
, is the largest amount of private support for any strictly educational building at a public university in Missouri.
