PhD Application Instructions
Applicants should complete the MU On-line Graduate Application. Applicants completing the on-line Graduate Application for Admission will be able to continually monitor the status of their application from the web-based system. The on-line application provides the most convenient and efficient way to apply for graduate study at MU, and is the preferred method of applying.
The following items must be submitted directly to the Graduate Admission Office: (Note: To be considered complete, all applications for admission must include the proper application fee, $45.00 for domestic applicants and $60.00 for non-resident alien [international] applicants.)
1. Your official transcripts from every college or university you have attended (sent directly from the college or university)
2. Your official TOEFL scores (sent directly from the Educational Testing Service; applies to international applicants only)

In addition to the on-line application just described, the following items must be forwarded directly to another office: the Graduate Studies in Business Office. These materials may be sent through the on-line application system, or with prior permission in unusual circumstances, directly to the Graduate Studies in Business Office. These required items are as follows:
- Departmental application
- Three letters of reference
- Statement of purpose
- Résumé
In addition to the aforementioned materials, you must arrange for your official GMAT scores to be sent directly from Pearson VUE to the Graduate Studies in Business Office.
It is strongly recommended that you also send to the Graduate Studies in Business Office an unofficial copy of your transcripts.
