What has the Recent Alumni Advisory Board (RAAB) Done So Far?
This is a high-energy group that has a history of success!
Student Development
- Facilitated alumni résumé review program that has served over 100 students
- Created Job Search workshop series serving students
- Participated in the creation of a popular job search class
- Created Professional development workshop series
Technology/Curriculum
- Reviewed MAA website, compared to peer schools and made recommendations for improvements
- Compared curriculum components to peer schools
- Provided feedback on Accounting 258 curriculum
Alumni Involvement
- Involved alumni through speaking workshops, volunteering as mentors, and providing counsel to the college
- Identified barriers to alumni involvement
Financial
- Achieved honors status with the MAA, which provided an additional $2,451 for the college's alumni activities and funded a student scholarship
What Can RAAB Do For You?
RAAB is available to assist the faculty and staff of the College of Business in a variety of ways, including:
- Facilitating Workshops
- Oranizing guest speakers for classes
- Assisting with technology and curriculum initiatives
- Providing alumni resources for classroom activities (e.g. interview an alumni about how he/she uses activity based costing in his/her job)
