Recognizing Award-Winning Students, Faculty, and Staff


During 2006, members of the college’s faculty and staff have been honored with awards from MU, the state of Missouri, and colleagues across the nation.

“The high quality of our faculty, staff, and students will help to advance our college to a top 20 public business program. The strength of each group bolsters the others,” says Dean Bruce Walker. “The impressive efforts of those associated with the college deserve our respect and gratitude.”

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners’ Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship
Recipients of this national award are selected based on their academic achievement, letters of recommendation, and an essay explaining how fraud awareness will affect the applicants’ professional development.

Provost’s Outstanding Junior Faculty Teaching Award
Each year, this MU award is presented to up to three outstanding faculty members with five or fewer years of service at MU.

Governor’s Award for Teaching Excellence
This state-wide award, which is presented to one faculty member per year at each university in Missouri, recognizes effective teaching, advising, and service to the campus community as well as exceptional efforts in nurturing student achievement.

This award honors three marketing professors from across the nation each year for their dedication to marketing education.
