Dan Bumblauskas is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Management at the University of Missouri – Columbia and is Vice President of PFC Services, Inc. Dan teaches courses in operations management, service industry operations, production systems, six sigma, and supply chain management. As a consultant, Dan works with businesses in various industries to develop new business and improve operational efficiency. Dan was with ABB Inc. as a Group North American Account and Marketing Manager for the Power Products Division Transformer Business Unit. In this role Dan was specifically responsible for commercial operations with a large OEM customer. The products supplied to this OEM are manufactured at three domestic small power and distribution transformer facilities. Prior to this position, Dan was a regional manager with ABB Inc. High Voltage Power Products located in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities in this position included marketing and customer training on high voltage circuit breaker parts and services for the power generation, transmission, and distribution markets. He has had responsibilities for projects in the areas of circuit breaker maintenance, fleet life cycle assessment, and information system implementation. Prior positions with ABB included assignments with the distribution transformer and front end sales organizations respectively located in Jefferson City, Missouri and Southboro, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining ABB, Dan worked for Sears Holdings Corporation’s sears.com webcenter in West Des Moines, Iowa as a communication and product specialist. In this role he was responsible for providing technical assistance on products and information systems to Sears’ associates and customers located throughout North America. He particularly focused on information sharing processes and data mining for the sears.com Knowledge Base.
Dan is a distinguished graduate of Iowa State University (Ames, IA) were he has been conferred B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. Dan’s doctoral work was completed in the department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Iowa State University. Dan is a master’s degree candidate in general management at the Harvard University Extension School (Cambridge, MA).
