Associate Teaching Professor. B.S. East Tennessee State University, 1976; J.D. University of Missouri, 1982. Professor Swenson is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, and has been engaged in a general, civil practice of law for 17 years. His interests include communicating the legal aspects of business to his students in a way which takes advantage of practical experience and encourages students to think through practical situations. He has also given numerous lectures on the legal aspects of starting a business through the UMC Small Business Development Center. Professor Swenson was elected Faculty Member of the Year for 1998-99 by the students of the College of Business and Public Administration.
