Apply to Accountancy Program

To apply to upper level accountancy, go to the following website for the online application:

 

http://business.missouri.edu/834/default.aspx  Students can apply February 1 - 15.

 

On the accountancy application, all undeclared students will need to list their first, second and third choice in business.  If not admitted to accountancy, you will be placed in a business area based on the admission GPA for each emphasis area in late May or early June.  You cannot apply to both business and accountancy.

 

The minimum requirements to apply are listed below.  However, the minimum requirements do not guarantee admission.  The admission GPA for FS2008 was approximately a 3.4.  All requirements must be completed by the end of SP2009.  Admission decisions will be made in late May or early June.  Your grades for SP2009 will be calculated in your admission GPA.

 

Completed 54 hours at the end of SP2009.

 

Completion of the following classes:

            Acct. 2036/2136H and 2037/2137H

            Econ 1014 and 1015 or 1051H

            English 1000 (C- or better)

            Management 1010

            Math 1300 and 1320 (one with C- or better)

            Statistics 2500 (with a C- or better)

 

Minimum GPA requirements:

            3.0 UM Cum GPA

            3.0 GPA in each Acct 2036/2136H and 2037/2137H

            3.0 cumulative GPA in the following pre-accountancy courses:

                        Acct. 2036/2136H and 2037/2137H

                        Econ 1014 and 1015 or 1051H

                        English 1000

                        Math 1300 and 1320

                        Statistics 2500
