Equipment Checkout Policy

For Students
Equipment available in Instructional Support Services (ISS), 221 Cornell, for student checkout includes: 4 laptops with wireless capabilities, digital camera, 5 digital camcorders, one tripod and teleconference phone. The laptops have wireless cards, and the MS Office Suite installed. Reservations are made and equipment picked up in ISS. The student's MU ID card is held during checkout.

Faculty, staff and PhD students may make reservations for all other equipment by recording the time slot in the appropriate Outlook Calendar, found in the Public Folders. To reserve equipment:

In Outlook or Webmail, make sure you are able to view the "Folder List". If you cannot, click on the "View" menu and then select "Folder List".

On your Folder List, scroll down to and click once on each item:

Public Folders
      All Public Folders
           Columbia
                Departments       (For easy access, you may drag any
                     Business           resource to Public Folders-Favorites)

Click on the resource you wish and schedule for the time slot you wish. Please include your name and location. Pick up the equipment at the appointed time and make sure to return it in time for the next resource request.

Reservations are automatically canceled if equipment is not picked up within 15 minutes.

For Faculty & Staff
The College of Business provides a variety of technology equipment available for check out to faculty, staff and students. This equipment is generally available on a first come, first served basis. An instructor may reserve equipment and then allow students to use departmental equipment, but the instructor is ultimately responsible for that equipment. By submitting an MU ID card, students may pick up instructor-reserved equipment from unit offices.

Accountancy, Finance, Marketing and Management have the following equipment available to faculty, staff or PhD students.

  • 1 TV/VCR for faculty and PhD students
  • 2 laptops
