Women in Business Scholarship

The Zonta Club of St. Louis is now accepting applications for the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship.  These scholarships work to support women in their second and third years of undergraduate studies.  Applications can be found on the Zonta website at www.zonta.org and are due May 31, 2008.  For more information please contact Marcena Gunter at 314-289-6379.

 

Student Council Elections

Student Council wishes to congratulate and welcome five recently elected members. Thanks to everyone who voted in the elections! The new members serving next semester are: Matt Covington, Bree Dunn, Christine Matthews, Justin Nagel, and Nick Savio.

 

Online Summer Courses

The College of Business will be offering two online courses this summer that will run concurrently with the summer semester: Operations Management (MGMT 4010) and Business Communications WI (MGMT 4201).  Courses will be set up in a format of lecture, discussion, and assignments and may be accessed from anywhere with a computer and internet connection.

 

Professional Development Course

The College of Business is now offering MGMT 4201-Section 4, a course designed to help students with resumes, professional competencies and etiquette.  This class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:45 in Cornell 115.

 

Potential Accounting Majors

If you want to apply or change your major to accountancy for FS2008, the application will be available again during finals week, May 12 – 16.  The deadline will be 5:00 pm on Friday, May 16th.  Please go to the following link to apply http://business.missouri.edu/834/default.aspx .  If you have any questions, please contact Phyllis Moore in 111 Cornell Hall.

 

Study Abroad in Madrid and Lisbon

If you are interested in studying abroad in Lisbon and Madrid during the January intersession then please visit the following link: http://business.missouri.edu/1420/Default.aspx.  Courses are conducted in English and no foreign language experience is required. 

 

Delta Epsilon Chi

Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) just returned from the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. There were over 4,000 students in attendance at the conference from the US and Canada.  Congratulations to Tyler Schnaidt, a Trulaske College of Business student, who placed 2nd overall in his event, Internet Marketing.

International Center Summer Internships
