Assistant Professor.  B.Sc., Queens University Belfast (Northern Ireland), 1971;  Ph.D., University of Western Australia, 1977.  Dr. Halliday spent the first ten years of his career in International Development Assistance to developing countries, initially with the International Center for Tropical Agriculture in Cali, Colombia S.A., and later with the University of Hawaii.  His interests evolved toward the business of science and technology.  He spent 10 years in senior positions with Battelle Memorial Institute, a multi-billion dollar R&D corporation.  At Battelle, he developed and led that organization’s business with the chemical, animal health, and pharmaceutical industries.  For the next 11 years, Dr. Halliday was President & CEO of a mid-size contract research company serving the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.  In 2004, Dr. Halliday joined the Management Department of the Trulaske College of Business to develop a graduate course and other offerings in technology entrepreneurship, conduct research in the field of technology entrepreneurship, and to support MU’s economic development mission through assistance to area entrepreneurs and operation of the MU Life Science Business Incubator.  He serves concurrently as the President & CEO of the Missouri Innovation Center, an affiliate unit of the Trulaske College of Business.
