I majored in Finance and Banking and always thought I wanted to be a commercial banker. However, the best job offer I had out of college was with a life insurance company in their commercial real estate lending area.I have been in Commercial Real Estate Finance ever since.
I have earned the MAI (Member, Appraisal Institute) designation, the CCIM (Chartered Commercial Investment Member) designation and the CRI (Chartered Realty Investor) designation.I have primarily been a commercial real estate lender, with life companies and a bank but have also worked as a fee appraiser and owned by own commercial real estate mortgage banking firm for 5 years.
I have done a small amount of direct investment in multifamily properties.
My current position is with Centerline due diligence on commercial real estate loans being securitized into commercial mortgage backed securities.
Centerline is an active investor in the riskiest classes of CMBS.
