Shirley presently serves as treasurer and chief investment officer for the University Missouri System. Shirley has approximately 30 years of experience with various for profit corporations handling all aspects of the financial functions. For the past fourteen years she has been responsible for all of the treasury functions of the university, which consists of four campuses. She is also responsible for the university's pension and endowment funds (U.S. $ 2.0 billion and $ 600 million respectively) and the internal management of the operating fund and reserves. Shirley was elected to CFA Institute Board of Governors.
